PAYAO — In a formal demonstration of institutional continuity, the Payao Municipal Police Station held its official Turnover of Office Ceremony, installing PMAJ Adam A. Bañez as the new Acting Chief of Police. He succeeds the outgoing chief, PMAJ Manolo T. Echem.

The high-profile transition was presided over by PCOL Barnard Danie V. Dasugo, Provincial Director, ensuring a seamless transfer of leadership and operational command.
LGU Backing and Community Gratitude
The ceremony was highly supported by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Payao, led by Municipal Mayor Hon. Joshua Carlo R. Mendoza.
In his address, Mayor Mendoza extended his heartfelt appreciation to PMAJ Echem for his unwavering dedication and service to the municipality. The Mayor also warmly welcomed PMAJ Bañez, signaling a continued strong partnership between the local government and law enforcement.
